We are finally getting into the rainy portion of the season.They are calling for rain throughout the rest of the week.This means that all the other streams will finally get some fish.Reports of good catches are already coming in from S.Sandy.Further,the Salmon River estuary is still full of fish and we will start to see it really unload.Frankly,fishing here in Pulaski has not slowed down one bit.The Salmon River is still at 335cfs which has kept a steady flow of fish every day.The crowds are gone but the fishing is great.Some of our regulars have stayed on for the week as king and steelhead catches have been steady behind our store.The big fall steelhead run is just getting started,and this is just what many of our long time customers have been waiting for.I have seen very few Browns yet.November tends to be the best month for them anyway.
Guys have been buying our flies in large quantities.Single egg patterns, in orange, red, pink and blue are working great for the trout.Estaz comets.wooly buggers and egg sucking leeches are hot for the salmon.We do custom order flies for anyone who has a pattern they find working well.Also,egg sacs and trout beads fished right on bottom are working well. We have a huge selection of fish beads and sell egg sacs in all the colors.For float fishing,we have all the gear.Rods and reels from Raven,Sheffield, Okuma and more.Also,we carry the terminal tackle you will need from Densmore,Drennan,Raven and Blackbird hooks,micro swivels and all the floats.We are now a dealer for Rio fly lines,and have a really good supply of there floating lines and tippets.Also,we have a full line of Frogg Togg waders,wading shoes, vests and rain jackets.Come on in and check out our friendly and knowledgable help.Customer services including rod and reel repair and fish mounting are also available.

I have been asked a lot if there is access to the river in Pulaski. The answer is YES! In fact,there is free access from the Ballpark all the way downstream to the Black hole. Behind our shop all the way upstream is wide open. Under the bridge is open. There is one spot that is private.
